Statement from Attorney General Patrick Morrisey on Charleston shooting incident
Attorney General Patrick Morrisey released the following statement today regarding a shooting incident in Charleston that took place earlier this morning:
"I am deeply saddened by the reports about one of the attorneys in the Workers Compensation Division of the Attorney General’s Office allegedly being involved in a shooting incident in Charleston earlier today.
"Mark Bramble was hired by the Attorney General’s Office on June 1, 2012. On August 8, 2013, he turned in notice of his resignation as a lawyer, which was slated to go into effect on August 30.
"We are relieved that no one in his family or neighborhood was injured and that all members of the law enforcement community are safe.
"As you know, details about this incident are still murky, and police are in the process of conducting a thorough investigation. We will have no further comment at this time."
