Media Advisory - Attorney General Patrick Morrisey to Announce Comprehensive Ethics Reform Policies on Monday, February 11th at 2:00 P.M.CHARLESTON – In his first formal press conference since taking office, West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrisey will be announcing a package of comprehensive ethics reforms this coming Monday, February 11th at 2:00 p.m. at the Office of the Attorney General. As part of the announcement, Attorney General Morrisey will be unveiling his Office’s new policies with regard to “trinkets,” advertising, and other self-promotional items. Morrisey will also discuss significant ethics reform legislation that he will be recommending to the Legislature. Attorney General Morrisey made ethics reform and the elimination of wasteful taxpayer funded self-promotional items a major portion of his comprehensive 17-point plan for the first 100 days in office. “I am looking forward to making what will be a very important announcement for both our Office and the State of West Virginia as a whole,” said Attorney General Morrisey. “This is just the first step in our commitment to comprehensive ethics reform in West Virginia.” | |
