Consumer Outreach and Compliance Specialists: The Attorney General seeks talented, highly-organized, individuals to serve in our consumer protection division. Ideal candidates will have strong oral and written communications skills, problem solving capabilities, research and analytical skills, and the ability to make clear and concise presentations to individuals and businesses about compliance matters and the Office's consumer outreach programs. Significant travel is required for these positions as the work will occur throughout the State.
Attorneys: The Attorney General seeks attorneys, of varying levels of experience, to fill a number of litigation positions. Ideal candidates will have top academic credentials, outstanding transcripts, a judicial clerkship, a minimum of three years of litigation experience, and strong written and oral communication skills. Successful candidates will be expected to work long hours, produce a high-quality legal product that meets exacting standards, and seek to enhance the reputation of the Attorney General's Office as a top law firm in the State of West Virginia. Appellate Attorneys:The Attorney General seeks attorneys for the Appellate Division, which represents the State in appeals before the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals and other courts in a variety matters including, but not limited to, direct criminal appeals. Experience with a judicial clerkship and/or two years of appellate practice are preferred. Administrative Support Staff: The Attorney General seeks highly organized, energetic individuals to provide administrative and legal support to our attorneys and Administrative Division. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of five years prior experience working in a law firm.
Human Resources Manager :This employee has overall responsibility of the Human Resource function and review including: employee relations, compensation and benefits administration, development and implementation of employee policies and procedures, personnel recordkeeping, employee hiring process, disciplinary and termination practices and employee evaluations.
