Gun Reciprocity Information
The terms of reciprocity agreements allow West Virginia resident concealed handgun licensees to carry concealed handguns in the reciprocal states. It is important for license holders to understand that when they are traveling in or through another state, the license holder is subject to the firearm laws of the state.

* Recognizes permits issued after June 8, 2012. West Virginia residents with a valid West Virginia CHL may legally carry a concealed handgun in any state with which West Virginia has full reciprocity and those states which formally recognize West Virginia permits. All West Virginia residents are required to possess a valid West Virginia CHL to carry a concealed handgun in West Virginia and may not use a non-resident permit, even from a reciprocal state. |
